Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: July 9, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses ProfitWire. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in warnings, throttling, feature restriction, suspension, or termination of your account, and — where appropriate — referral to law enforcement.
1. Illegal Activity
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Facilitate money laundering, sanctions evasion, or tax evasion.
- Traffic in stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise unlawful goods.
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or publicity rights.
2. Fraud and Marketplace Abuse
- No misrepresentation of items, condition, grading, authenticity, or provenance.
- No shill bidding, wash trading, feedback manipulation, or fake sales.
- No chargeback fraud or manipulation of returns and disputes.
- No use of ProfitWire to violate the terms of eBay, Stripe, or any other integrated marketplace or payment provider.
3. Unauthorized Scraping and Data Extraction
- No scraping, crawling, or bulk extraction of ProfitWire's public or authenticated pages except via features and APIs we explicitly make available to you.
- No use of the Services to scrape or violate the terms of third-party marketplaces.
- No re-selling, sublicensing, or redistributing data obtained through the Services except as part of your own business records.
4. Account and Credential Integrity
- Do not share your login credentials or transfer your account to another person.
- Do not create accounts by automated means or use false or misleading information.
- Do not attempt to access another user's account, data, or workspace.
- Immediately report any credential compromise to support@getprofitwire.com.
5. Reverse Engineering and Security Testing
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services except as expressly permitted by law.
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any ProfitWire system or breach any security or authentication measure.
- Good-faith security research is welcome under our Responsible Disclosure policy.
6. API and Rate-Limit Abuse
- Respect published quotas, rate limits, and plan entitlements.
- Do not attempt to circumvent quotas by rotating accounts, IP addresses, or credentials.
- Do not use the Services in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure or on any connected marketplace's infrastructure.
7. Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Do not use the Services to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited or deceptive communications.
- Do not harvest email addresses or other contact information from other users.
8. Malware and Harmful Code
- Do not upload, transmit, or link to viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, or any code intended to damage, disable, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or the data contained therein.
9. Harmful or Abusive Content
Do not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes another party's rights. We reserve the right to remove content or restrict accounts that violate this section.
10. Reporting Abuse
To report suspected abuse of the Services, contact support@getprofitwire.com with details of the activity, timestamps, and any relevant account identifiers.
11. Enforcement
We investigate potential violations at our discretion and may take action ranging from a warning to permanent termination. For egregious or repeated violations we may terminate access without prior notice and without refund of pre-paid fees.
